How do I apply for a position?
The majority of the faculty positions require that you apply using Interfolio. Application instructions will be clearly listed on each job posting. Follow the instructions listed.
Positions using Interfolio will not have an Apply Button. Simply click on the URL listed on the job posting under Application Instructions to be directed to Interfolio.
What is Interfolio?
Interfolio is an online recruitment platform used to collect scholarly application materials for faculty positions. There is no cost to apply using the system. See image below for details.
If you are applying for a position using the Interfolio system, you do not need to create an account for the UMBC PageUp applicant tracking system (the log-in button on the Current Opportunity web page).
Positions such as Librarians will apply using the UMBC PageUp system and therefore, will need to create an account in order to apply.
Position listings on this web site are updated frequently. Every effort is made to update and add new positions on a daily basis. We suggest you bookmark the site and check back often to learn about new opportunities that are available.
Many positions are open until filled and will not be removed until a suitable candidate has been selected. Please use the best consideration date as a reference. Contact the hiring department if you are unsure if applications are still being sought for a position.

You are able to make changes or add additional items to your application after it is submitted.
Can I update my name, email, or address on my account?
Yes, when you login to the applicant site, you can update your profile information by clicking on the Update profile tab on the top right-hand side of the home screen.
Can I withdraw my application once I have submitted it for a specific job posting?
Yes, you may withdraw your application. Log in to your account and click the button labeled Withdraw. If you would like to resubmit your application, you must do so prior to the deadline of the job posting.
